Elementary art show highlights creativity and talent

The City School District of ³Ô¹ÏÂÛ̳, in partnership with the ³Ô¹ÏÂÛ̳ Institute of History and Art (AIHA), will exhibit its 11th annual Elementary Art Show June 6-June 8.

"The event is one of a kind and is a special opportunity for our young artists to showcase their talent and inspiration," said City School District of ³Ô¹ÏÂÛ̳ Fine Arts Supervisor Kate Wright.

Pieces from all 12 of the district's elementary schools will be in display in the Rice House at AIHA (125 Washington Ave.):

  • Friday, June 6 from 5-7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 8 from noon-5 p.m.

The opening reception on June 6 will also feature the William S. Hackett Middle School Jazz Club, beginning at 5 p.m. in the AIHA foyer.

Admission is free June 6-June 8 for participating students and their parents/guardians.
