Attendance
Students are expected to attend all classes each day while summer school is in session. Students with 3 or more absences are at risk of being dropped from the program.
Grading
All grading will be numeric, following the same grading policy as the regular school year.
As part of our commitment to creating a focused and distraction-free learning environment, we are implementing the use of Yondr pouches for all students attending summer school. This initiative is in preparation for our bell-to-bell phone/device-free policy that will go into full effect during the 2025-26 school year.
Effective immediately for summer school:
- All students are required to secure their cell phones and electronic devices — including earbuds, smartwatches and similar accessories — in a Yondr pouch upon arrival.
- The pouch will be locked and remain in the student’s possession throughout the school day.
- At dismissal, staff will unlock the Yondr pouch so students can retrieve their devices. Students are responsible for bringing their pouch to school each day.
- Students who refuse to comply with this policy (by not placing their phone in a pouch) will not be permitted to attend summer school, placing their enrollment and academic progress at risk
- Any student found in possession of a device that is not secured in a Yondr pouch will have the device confiscated immediately. Confiscated devices will be returned at the end of the day.
- At the end of summer school, ³Ô¹ÏÂÛ̳ High students will keep their Yondr pouch for the start of the new school year in September. Non-district students will be required to return the pouch at the end of the program in order to receive their final grades.
Technology
City School District of ³Ô¹ÏÂÛ̳ students will use district-issued Chromebooks.
Non-district students who reside in the City of ³Ô¹ÏÂÛ̳ are responsible for meeting their own technology needs.
Please contact your school counselor for more information.
